Privacy Policy
We only use business data to run Chief for the customer who connected it.
Chief Will Do It helps small business owners review messages, draft replies, suggest booking times,
and keep follow-ups from slipping through the cracks. This policy explains what information we collect,
why we use it, and how customers stay in control.
Last updated: June 4, 2026
1. Information We Collect
Chief Will Do It collects the information needed to create an account, provide the service, and
support customers. This may include the customer's name, business name, email address, phone number,
selected plan, billing status, setup progress, and basic account activity.
When a customer chooses to connect business tools, Chief may access information from those connected
tools. This can include email inboxes, calendar events, business phone or text activity, voicemail
information, customer messages, appointment details, business hours, services, location, and other
business details the customer provides.
2. How We Use Information
We use customer information to operate Chief and provide the features the customer requests. This
includes summarizing emails, texts, and voicemails; drafting reply options; suggesting booking times;
preparing Good Morning or Good Night briefings; identifying urgent messages; organizing follow-ups;
and helping the owner stay aware of work that needs attention.
We may also use account information to manage signups, provide customer support, improve the service,
prevent misuse, maintain security, and communicate important updates about the customer's account.
3. Owner Approval and Customer Control
Chief is built around owner approval. Chief may prepare drafts, suggest replies, or recommend booking
options, but customer-facing replies and appointments are intended to happen only after the business
owner approves them. The owner keeps the final say before messages are sent or appointments are booked.
Customers can choose which tools to connect, update setup details, adjust preferences, manage billing,
and stop using Chief. If a connected tool is removed, Chief should no longer use that tool for new
summaries, drafts, or actions.
4. Email, Calendar, Phone, Text, and Voicemail Access
If a customer connects email, calendar, phone, text, or voicemail tools, Chief may access the data
needed to provide the requested features. For example, Chief may read message content to summarize
customer needs, identify urgent requests, draft possible replies, and suggest appointment times based
on calendar availability.
We aim to request only the permissions needed to provide Chief's service. Customers should only connect
accounts they are authorized to use for their business.
5. Payment Information
Payments are handled by Stripe. Chief Will Do It does not store full card numbers, CVC codes, or full
payment credentials on our own systems. Stripe may collect and process payment information according
to its own privacy and security practices.
Chief may store limited billing-related information, such as the customer's plan, trial status,
subscription status, and whether a payment method is on file.
6. How We Share Information
We do not sell customer message content. We may share limited information with service providers that
help us operate Chief, including hosting providers, payment processors, communication providers,
analytics tools, support tools, and connected email or calendar platforms.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of Chief Will Do
It, our customers, or others, or to prevent fraud, abuse, or security issues.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect customer account
data and connected business information. These safeguards are designed to reduce unauthorized access,
protect sensitive information, and support a reliable customer experience.
No internet-based service can guarantee perfect security. Customers should use strong passwords,
protect their connected accounts, and contact us if they believe their account or connected tools have
been accessed without permission.
8. Data Retention
We keep customer information for as long as needed to provide Chief, maintain account records, comply
with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and improve the service. If a customer cancels
or disconnects tools, we may retain certain account or billing records where reasonably necessary.
9. Disconnecting Tools, Canceling, or Requesting Help
Customers can manage connected tools and billing through their account and Stripe's secure billing
portal. Customers may also contact Chief Will Do It for help with privacy questions, account access,
connected tools, or requests related to their information.
10. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as Chief Will Do It changes, new features are
added, or legal requirements evolve. The updated date at the top of this page shows when the policy
was last revised.
